Ok,

I'm not sure whether this is too late but I've been getting some hassle about not posting more pics from my trip to China. So here are a few that I would appreciate critique and comment on - bearing in mind that there is a very low probability that I will be able to reshoot

Thanks for posting some more shots Matt, my favourite in this series would be the first, follow closely by the second, with the third not as strong (a bit too much waiting from afar, not close enough to the action)

Still having issues seeing your work, so posted in the same order as you did.

That first one is brilliant.. compostionally it rocks.. I also like the other to with the second my next pick... I can't help but wonder how the last one would look cropped in to the right corner...a little more than a third of the shot....??

On it's own #3 would be a good image, but in company with the others it just doesn't cut it (sorry).

#1 is a very different and appealing take on heavily photographed spot. I like the feeling of bleak isolation here, although I'd have liked a touch more detail on the RHS (ie a little brighter, but not much)

#2 - this is a quintessentially chinese image and I really think you've nailed the treatment too.

#3 - I think the problem for me is there is too much foreground. The pillar on the left is fine since it makes me feel I'm peeking in on the monk, but the foreground drains the impact of the image IMHO. I'd experiment with either a pano or square crop

So where is the next installment. And what about Morocco?

Matt - I for one have really missed your image posts on here...and these are absolutely breath taking!

the light in the first one is magical

and the others remind me of National Geographic

Matt, that first shot is a real stand out, all of it works, the colour the leading lines the cloud all good stuff.

Treatment on #1 is great, I really love the tone. The snow looks surreal! Fantastic!
