fog filled valley panorama

Heres a pano that I salvaged after forgetting to use manual exposure for the component frames. All that brightly illuminated fog caused the central frames to have a shorter exposure, then when I tried to stitch them the variation in sky brightness was a bit too much for Hugin to handle, so I brightened the middle 2 frames in the direction of the Sun up a bit in PS and re-stitched, with what I think is a reasonable result. The darker sky shows up a bit where the fog extends to the top, so I did a bit of cloning there, the sun is only just out of view. There is a rather large dynamic range here, and HDR software could have been used to advantage I think... I think I need more RAM to make HDR panos though.

and you can see where it is in Google Earth there too.

I used a 20mm Sigma on the D200.

That is stunning and i sure hope that you have it enlarged printed and hanging on your wall...!!

My only gripe is that I would have liked to have seen a tiny bit more foreground... but its still stunning as it is...:)

Nice work Gordon, I like it a lot. Sounds like you had some mucking
around to get the result, but it was certainly worthwhile.
