The ship clears a path through the ice for some sea kayakers, with the Johns Hopkins Glacier in the background



This doesn't look that impressive until you realise the wall of ice is probably 60-80m tall!! We stood there are watched the glacier calving continuously for ages - probably once every couple of minutes, acompanied by a loud crack, like thunder.

Those last two images are superb - especially the second last which has wonderful use of foreground to draw the viewer into the shot.

And please, I know you're excited about the great images you've captured, but our guidelines are no more than 4 images per post.

I'm liking #1 and #5. Love the contrast of the kayaks on the water, and how big was the chunk of ice in the last one?

That big squarish block of ice on top of the even bigger bit of ice was roughly 4WD-sized

Them's some BIG floating bits of ice, especially if you consider apparently 90% is below the surface

the fourth one is awesome, great shot with the ice flow and the fjord in the distance.

First one is also very nice.
