Haines Pier

This one was taken in Haines, Alaska. It was raining and we were hurrying back to the ship after coming back from a shore excursion. I didn't even think about it at the time, but I just put the camera up to my eye, snapped and kept going. I guess I'm a sucker for vertical long pier shots :)

Despite the rushed shot and eagerness to get the camera back into the dry ship, I think it came out alright - the diagonal lines lead nicely into the shot

Excellent actually considering you were in a hurry... :)

I'd crop a little off the top just to balance it out... but its still very good...

Nice leading lines, and I really like the lamp-posts the repetition of them down the pier is great.

What they said!

I also like the man walking down the pier, it also leads into the image with the ship as a destination - makes the photo more 'alive' to me than if it was just the pier by itself.

Unless of course you only wanted the pier and the man/ ship are distractions .... :)

Really like this one. especially the effect of the upside down "J" shaped light poles.

Is it possible to clone out the bird poo?

I dont know for sure but I think maybe the pic would be better without it.
