Hey guys,
Just wanting some C&C on this photo. It is one of the first i have taken with my new DSLR. I'm only new to this, but I really want to learn. Thanks, Meg.

Image

Edit: Sorry about the size if it is too big - I'm not so good at this stuff.

Excellent 1st effort.

Ditto

The simplest (There are better!) way to get the size down, Assuming you use Photoshop CS2, is to Choose "Save for Web" on the file menu. Click the Image size tab on the right, and make the largest dimension 800. Click Apply. Then play with the Quality value till the size, reported in the Bottom Left Corner drops below 200kB Finally Click save. THe file will become 8bit JPEG, and the original will be preserved as was.
You will lose EXIF data in the saved image though, and it doesn't work well with large images.

nice shot! narrow depth of field like this is difficult with wildlife, well done.
