Had an impromptu portrait session with the little one today. One studio light bounced off ceiling behind Alex and SB800 either bounced off ceiling or feathered with soft-box onto Alex.

C&C appreciated.

This one has some green reflection from the rug. Not happy with that.

Pat - I like the first one of these the most.
I find that Alex's pose in the 2nd one, well, isn't flattering :).
The third one, as already noticed by you is affected by the green reflection which is distracting. The first one though, beautiful, and cheeky!! :D

First one is fantastic Patrick!

I'm not a fan of the poses in the second but it's a great photo.

Third is interesting but a little "up the nose" (but not "on the nose" :D )

I quite like the green background as the darker colour suits his skin. The first shot with a darker background would be my pick.

Thanks for the comments Geoff & Dadvid. I understand the criticisms made and basically agree with them. THe primary idea of the shoot was to get Alex on his stomach, but he wasn't having much of it today.

The green rug served as a good backdrop, but we will need to be careful in the future of reflections.

Well I'll be different and say I like #2 the best, and I like the pose, expression everything. (And to be realistic he's still a little tacker so posing isn't going to be an easy thing).

I would like to see more images of him with his head in the vertical not horizontal position but that's just me.

Thanks Craig - I agree with your comment re vertical pose. Whilst I don't get tired of him in any pose or being held by Alicia, I would like to be able to take more portrait style shots of him by himself however, I know this will have to wait until he is able to sit up by himself.
