Bindi - these are excellent. The use of the stairs and the obvious decay blends well with the subjects. The diaphanous quality in the first shot is superb :)

Very nice Bindii, like both of them. Was it a model shoot organised or something else?

It was a day out arranged by a Camera Club (I'm not a member but any interested photographers are welcome to attend these days)... they are kinda disorganised though as basically they supply the girls... in this case I think there was two maybe three experienced models (and a few inexperienced girls) and a theatre group in costume.. oh an an old fashioned reinactment group.. (you know the ones the old battlefield type stuff).... anyways we pay the money and then your on your own ... you get to wander around and take shots of whatever takes your fancy... there is generally a lot of competition to get the models attention... and you've virtually no chance of posing her the way you want....

It sounds like I am complaining doesn't it...I'm not... its still a great day out and there are loads of chances for some good shots and to network and meet other togs.. I'm just used to having the subject to myself...well except at weddings when you I have to fight my way past Uncle Jo, cousin Dave and Aunty June etc... ;)

Oh and thanks for the comments.... :)

'Love the processing in the first. The deeper blacks give it a bit of a gritty 'street' type feel :)

Really great work, there's no way I could get these kind of results! I like the first one best, and the location is tops, big fan of gritty places.

The contrasts you have brought out here are great. In the first the contrast between black and white and in the second the contrast between the blue and the red. Really good!!!

Both very good images Sue, you cannot tell there may have been other photographers around as they seem to be under your complete control. I like the gritty effect you have achieved.

She took a dirty great big bat with her, and every time one of the poor hapless photographers came near the model, Sue would start swinging!
