A famous landmark in Brisbane set alight last night with fireworks to celebrate the River of Fire. Unfortunately, I took a long lens with me that was not particularly suited for the place we chose to watch the fireworks. So, it was in some respects an unique experience to see the fireworks so close that I felt I was part of the explosions. It is not a good image, but like all the pictures I took it came out with a touch of the abstract.

1st image was good - I was at the botanical gardens looking from across and was spectacular but very smoky which the 1st image captured well

Oh I didnt make it to see the fireworks.. I had planned to but forgot that I had agreed some time ago to attend a birthday party.... *pouts*

First one is the best.. and wow you were close!
