Well, my Daughter Michaela, is getting married today so I had to buy a new lens (good enough excuse for me)

It's all part of my master plan to have f/2.8 or better from 17mm through to 300mm

Nikkor 35-70 f/2.8

First shot.

1/80s @ f/4.5 ISO 100

right out at 70mm or 105mm depending which way you want to look at it

Have a great day Mark, and best wishes to your daughter on her special day. Being the father of the bride, you may not have the photo oppotunities you normally would have, but I'm sure you will still have a chance to give that great lens a workout.

Congrats too old man, hope everything goes swimmingly at the wedding, well with the 2.8 lens. I too have a diabolical master plan for Canon 10-22mm, then 24-70 F2.8 to go with the 70-200 F2.8, then possible 100-400mm, all I need is some more cash!

........ ozi, the Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 is fantastic........ workes well with the 1.4 TC and 2X TC........ but heavy......
