Confusing title, but hopefully, straightforward photos

Both were D50, with the first being Tamron 28-75 and the second the Sigma 70-200 (which is a pretty good lens IMO).

Both great shots - love the colours and setup in the first, and the strong lines and the effective (non-B&W) monochrome in the second.

Ooooh what a cracker of a sunset... gorgeous.... where on Tamborine did you take it?...cause I've often thought about meandering up there one day to get some sunset shots but haven't been sure on where an ideal spot would be... :)

Why thankyou :)

This was one of those rather hasty 'omg...look at the sunset...pull over!' moments  The whole area up there has such a great feel to it. We'd passed through Eagle Heights and just pulled over on the side of the road somewhere. A couple of minutes later, we drove over a big weir/dam wall with a wildlife park nearby.

Can you tell I am not a local?

Hope (however unlikely it may be be) this helps :)

both great shots.

how long did those rays hold out for?
i can never find a decent spot in time when mother nature is showing off.

Thanks for the comments. The rays lasted longer than I thought they would do. I was working pretty quickly, but still had easily enough time to grab quite a few images.
