#2 perfect pose, you've it got right, but she should either have her left hand in full view or place her hand on her stomach out of view. (hand looks slightly amputated at first glance)((me being too picky because it is a good shot))

Posted: Mon Sep 17, 2007 1:23 amI like the subject in #1, she has a regal air. But the background doesn't work. Too much jarring distracting elements for me. The shallow DOF is good but doesn't eliminate the poor background

Thank you for that. I guess I could work on the shadowing on her face a little. I need the PP practise anyway.
I'll keep the hand thing in mind for next time.

Thanks Simon, I'm not sure what you mean by jarring, but I'm guessing you think the background stands out too much maybe? I still have a lot to learn, and the only way I learn is to take the photos, whack em up and then ask! Thanks heaps.
