And some carriages

Comments welcomed.
And yes there has been PP added to the car pics but none to the carriages.

Painting with Light. We had a little bit of fun last night out and about in Brisbane with Joe's new VE SS Commodore... Taken with the D200, 18-70 kit lens and an SB-800 used to paint bits with light. Manual 1/32 and then flashed around the car, all 30 second exposures.

#3 is my pick here, love the angle and the lighting (while it looks mixed) I don't mind the affect and the WA distortion is pretty cool.
I like the glow in #2 of the background and wish the card was infront of it entirely and not the wall aswell.
Brett,
Great pics of Joe's new toy. I'd like to come out next time you kids go out and about? I'm assuming this was done on Saturday night? I like the WA effect of #3 and the softening you've obviously done PP in #1 just seems to bring the car out that little bit better. I agree with Alpha's comments on #2. For no PP, #4 looks like it would make for a good PP project. I'm just trying to figure out what the curved line is coming out of the top of the close tanker? Cheers Simon
Great shots - Number 1 is my fave, but I'd consider cropping out the white ?pylons? on either side.

I've got that crop at home, I didn't like the result I'll post up a link when I upload it later on this evening ![]()
Nice photos and nice new toy.
![]() In #1 and this might just be me or my laptop but the colour of the car at the back looks gold while the rest of it is silver. You may have meant it to look like that, dunno. To me it's a little off putting. Agree with BT*ist about the Pylons, consider cropping them out. #2 is great and my pick and #3 great angle, same thing with the side of the car it looks a little pinky. #4 is your weakest image. Cheers, Bill
I kinda like the selectively blurred background (or selectively sharpened subject). Great job with lighting exposures too.
It's a new car, show us under the hood too - before it becomes covered with soot and dirt and isn't so photogenic.
Nice brett.Better than the ones i took....MY car doesn't look that clean anymore after driving in the rain

Here's a couple of the engine bay, but I'm sure Brett has much better examples!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers, Shorty
