Photographic skills arent the best, (wish i had a macro for real close ups) but not often you get this close to a snake :P

And this is our little dog that killed the snake :D (whish was around 4FT long)
Thankfully he is still alive.

I'm not scared of Snakes but that's ridiculous... Please tell me that thing was dead when you took those shots?

definately dead :P

i made sure of that (with the longest broom handle i could find in the shed) :lol: before i picked it up with my hands ;)

....... I would still use a 500mm with 5xTC........ looks like a brown to me.... not nice

I started with the 75-300mm but then went for the 17-85 IS :P

would have loved a good macro though.

Pretty sure it was a brown.. not something you would get close to when its a live.. :shock:

Yep, If I needed a pic that close, I would have went and hired a 1200mm - *just* to make sure I was not too close....
