Hi all,

This is my first time at Bathurst and thought I'd give it a go with a last moments decision to make the trip. The only problem is, I only had 1 day at it. Hope you like 'em...! Have fun tomorrow Raskill (Alan).... :D

Nice, you moved around a fair bit.

For me no 3 is a fav - purely because of the body roll you can see in the car.

For me no 1 is spoilt by the shade from the trees.

No 2 is ok, but a little too much sky

No 4 - i like this one 2 - i like shots when you have multiple cars in shot - and the Morris car has the cliche flame out the exhaust.

I don't usually comment on photos, but motorsport ones I have too :) GO FORD!!!

Sif the #5 FPR "Cobra" car doesn't look the hottest... and that's coming from a Holden man. Nice shots Bill, #3 and 4 are great!

Nice work mate, I really dig # 2 for it's perspective, the chopper, and the fact it's a ford!

Spewin' you won't be there tomorrow!?!

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Yeah, I'm spewin' too Pehpsi, there is always next year I suppose, Thanks. I also like #2 with the chopper but for me it would have been a better shot with a Holden.  :P

Holden, Ford, who cares! They are damn sexy cars that go really really fast, have a lot of grunt and usually have bad boys behind the wheel

Holden, Ford, who cares?

They're Holdens and Fords ... Far better than their 60s and 70s brethren, but they're still just Holdens and Fords, and are way to heavy to be able to get any sort of real speed up.

China F1 today. ;)

F1 is the worlds most boring, overrated series. Bar none.

Sorry gary :)

You obviously missed last week's race.

But there's far more to F1 than just the racing ... and the speeds make tintops look positively slow.

To point of "when will these things get off the track and get out of the way?"

But you are welcome to your opinion.

I really like #1 because of the shadows.

Agree that there is too much sky in #2. An aggressive crop and this would be a good pic.

Colours are vivid in #3 but can't get into #4 because i have this thing against Kelly. Like Tander though.

Won't get into the debate on F1. I'll save that for another topic.

Love number 3.. I'm a ford man but this image is clear crisp and tells a story.

Good Work.

What the track like for amatures to get around?

Cheers
MATT

#3 for me, and as for F1, let's see one up against the Veyron, now we're talking... :D

(Sorry Gary, I just can't keep awake during the F1, but at least it's more fun than Nascar... :)

Back to the photos, the reflection and body roll of #3 is great.

Hey Matt, there is a bus that takes you up the top of the mountain (Cost $5 return) Once up the top it's not bad, there are some good ventage points to photograph from, but boy I did a lot of walking though. Well, the track is just on 6.2km. The first 3 photos are at the top and the last one is at the last turn before the start/finish.

Thanks,
Bill

Nice images mate.

I really like the TKR Falcon coming up through Sulman Park, the heat haze and chopper in the background makes the image. Pity about the small area of wall in the bottom left of the image, but it's hard to not get it (unless you get on the GOOD side of the fence). I like the amount of sky in this image, gives a good perspective of the terrain and the 'panorama'.

I also like the image of the holdsworth/canto car. gives a great idea of the forces going through the vehicle when you see the compression on the springs.

Next time, we'll try to meet up.
