my beautiful daughter: Abby!

sorry gstark, this is kinda just a gloat post, though I'm not trying to gloat about my amazingly brilliant photographic and pp skills.

Abby Grace Jacobs was born yesterday morning (6.10.07) at 12.40am (after 17 hours of trying to induce labour, she came out by c section). She's 3990g, 52cm, and I reckon Alex (pat's boy) would think she's pretty cute.

The pics were taken by bouncing the flash off the roof, and pp was just simply multiplying layers, and adjusting a bit. The pp stuff isn't the best - I was going on 2 hours sleep, and trying to get it done with visitors in the room, so concentration was minimal to say the least.

Can anyone recommend some good ideas to make these photos the kind that we'd want to print and frame?

Without further ado:

Congratulations to both mum and dad, she is beautiful! I think the first photo is frameable just as is, the second one for me is a little soft. But hey, you can take more! Get some sleep first though

Gloat away, but I think you should perhaps consider giving your wife maybe just a bit of the credit for this?

Congratulations too. :)

Absolutely! She's a champion. I have a completely new-found appreciation for how tough women are!

Hey Matty, congratulations to the three of you! Life is now very different, and for the better.

The first image is a cracker - print it big and frame it.

Alex does only go for younger girls!

Congratulations! To your wife for doing all the hard work! Those images will be priceless one day, so look after them. I'm guessing she's to young to take fishing just yet...but give her a couple of weeks! :D :D :D

Great shots.

Enjoy the time she sleeps as it may not be that often at times! Alex had his 4 month shots yesterday (as in Alex was 4 months, not the shots) - not a happy little boy, although at least he was apparently giving the evil death-stares to the doctor, not to Alicia or I. :D
