Did a wedding last saturday acting as the second photog in training or SPT.

Had free roam and here are some shots I came up with. Enjoy!

Hopefully, some constructive crit...

#1 - i think the ear should be in the pic or out, but not cropped in half. I'd prefer it to be in, since it would balance the photo a bit more as i think it's shifted a bit too far to the left.

#2 - no comment

#3 - bride's dress is blown out. it's hard not to, but i think this is way too much.

#4 guy's head chopped off top left corner looks like he is decapitated :( Otherwise you got her at a good moment. I'd slightly fix up (lighten) the skin fold lines on her neck though. Again, her dress is blown out too much and the bridegroom's suit is too dark with no detail.

Actually there 3 and 4 were good exposures with very very very little clipped highlights. The reason why 3 looks blown is the treatment I gave it. I wanted a bit of glow and boost the contrast up. The tradeoff is a shot that looks blown but had the intended look I'm after.

Number 4 had also no blown highlights on the dress except for the downlights you can see on the top right. However I went with a contrasty treatment which again means there will be a bit of tradeoff. However I do agree with the chopped head. Good find.

Yep, these are different and are great. I don't think the blown highlights matter that much in this instance, and you have frozen the respective moments well. I also don't mind the decapitated chap...makes for a talking point. :) Very enjoyable indeed.

Theyare all very nice pictures. My favorite is number 3 because I thinks it is quite original.
