We did our final Trekabout workshop at O'Reilly's for 2007 and I managed to get in a few shots of my own during "free time".

As usual the birds were out in force.

The Regent Bower Birds disappear into the forest now until around April so it was the last opportunity for a while to grab a few shots of these magnificent birds.

I like the second- simple and good focus and not overly saturated.
I know the first is a great "timing" shot and tack sharp but for me it shows an awkwardness or lack of grace- maybe thats what the juveniles are like!
The third is a little too abstract and I would like to see a little more- is this a crop? Its intriguing and I'm sure there will be lots of others who love it.

Well done Mark and I'm glad you were able to get the Regent Bowerbird shot while we were mucking around, before our photography workshops began.

Great timing :D

Cheers

Mark,

they are all great but I do like the last one. It is different then the "regular" bird photos. Looks like it was a great start to your workshops, all the best to you and Michael for next year.

Cheers,

André

These are all very good. The red bowed finch are a tiny bird and normally quite hard to get as they dont sit stil for very long. Well done.

#1 is a corker of a shot that's timed and exposed to perfection. Terrific Mark :)

Lovely series Slider

If was to offer any critique I would say the reds in #2 look a little over saturated (but only a little)

Hi Slider,

I think that the 1st image is superb.
I also think that the 2nd image is great - however it suffers a little lack of DOF.

Great images,
would love to see more.

Regards,
CD
