I was lucky enough to spend a few weeks up on the Sunshine Coast recently and managed to get up for a few sunrise shots.

The first two are both merged from two differently exposed shots.

How could I improve these landscapes? I'm not completly happy with this attempt.

Speaking from total inexperience here with these kind of shots. The one I have seen that really give an oh ar response seem to have a longer shutter speed to give some motion blur to the water.

However, I do like these ones even though there seems there was little colour in the sky for you.

You were up here and you never contacted anyone?

#3 is so realistic, has depth, natural colours and great composition! One of the better sunrise/beach shots I have seen and makes you want to be there.

You would get on well with my wife, she says the same.
