DHL looses spinnaker in Sydney Hobart
Posted: Sat Dec 29, 2007 4:14 pmDHL The Daily Telegraph and Hugo Boss II had just finished in the Sydney Hobart this morning. DHL went to drop her spinnaker and it all turned pear shaped. This sequence of shots was taken with D3 and 85/1.4 (the closest thing to a telephoto lens I had with me).

In the first, the spinnaker lets go. The next 2 show it flapping around the top of the mast.
In the fourth, you can see the lucky crewman half way up the mast in the boson's chair. In the fifth, he's at the top of the mast working on the spinnaker.
Finally it flies free.
The last 3 images were taken thru security wire unfortunately.
