Big Cocky

Was Lucky enough not to have the cockies fly away as soon as they saw the camera today.
This guy is just outside my back door. (100mm macro spot metered)

Oh I am soooo gutted...

fancy calling a thread 'Big Cocky' and then posting pics of a bird... ;)

And sorry mono isn't working for me.. but I do like the colour ones.. :)

Thet are a big bird though. This one was nearly two feet long.

Yes.. but I'm good at it... ;)

and thats much better.. it looks a lot better in colour than in the mono... :)

Lucky you didn't title the post "BIG BLACK" Cocky :shock:

Yes the black cockys are a good looking bird & colour suits them better which is pretty strange considering they are black, probably because you can see the detail in their feathers better in colour

I would like to see the 2nd one in colour. I think these guys work better in colour.
Will they be around in a weeks time????????? PS got the 100-400........ I want to try these guys

Hey Waz,
I think they have finnished off the fruit in the Hakea but they are still up in the pines.
I will be interested to see the reach and quality of pics from the new lens.
Don't forget your trailer!

DJT, Idrew the line at using cocky as I thought all would see it as the bird. Oops.
