Nothing special here.......
Just had a busy week with the old D3 in all sorts of situations......i have too say again there are two things that blow me away most about this camera, one is the auto WB the other is the amazing bokeh with ALL my lenses.......all images straight out of the camera My Nan 80 today.....  My wifes friends christening...  My brother.....  Shooting a band......@ 2500 ISO   AF in low light is also astonishing....i seriously couldn't be happier with this camera

Lovely shots, it really works well at higher ISO. I'll have to see how the D300 goes in the same light. Indoor shooting this weekend for the win, this weather is driving me crazy.

Dan & Vince The auto WB I get - but how on earth can a camera change the bokeh of the lens? AFAIK the bokeh is caused by how the lens renders the OOF elements so I can't see any way a camera could change that. Am I missing something? Peter

You're right in that it won't change the bokeh, but it will change the DOF. A 'cropped' sensor will have a greater DOF than a FF sensor at a given aperture and distance-to-subject. In other words with all other things equal, more stuff is OOF on the FF camera than on the 'cropped' camera.

.... That's where I think you are completely wrong. The first three shots are very special images... never forget that shots of your family/friends are priceless.
