Ben

You have been throttled back to 4 images, as per our FAQ. It is also not allowable to have two or more posts in the one thread that total more than 4.

I have left the URLs of your images so that those interested can visit if they choose.

As you are only new here, I wish you every enjoyment on our site, but please stick to our rules. If you are unsure about anything, just ask.

Thanks for your future cooperation.

Mmmmmmmm, D3 :)

2 & 3 are the obvious winners here, very nice. And I can see my dad standing behind Amanda :)

#4 will come out good with some colour/contrast.

James.

Nice shots!

I think #1 will come good with some exposure compensation (lighter)

Also, #1 and #4 appear flat because the DOF is infinity - #1 would pop if the crowd was slightly out of focus.

I think #2 and #3 would stand out even more, with some levels / curves adjustments, boost the colours and a sharpen. e.g the red car in #3.

Edit - I hope you don't mind I had a little play. All I did was boost the saturation and sharpen in Picasa2. It surprised me how much sat this image took, I boosted by about 80%. Perhaps you need to review your in-camera settings for saturation.

I boosted the shadows here, to create more contrast. I'd probably crop a bit of sky out of this as well, if I needed the shot.

great stuff Benny! #2 and #3 clear winners as they show the anticipation and suspense!

IMHO the originals were fine and didn't really need more saturation. The reds are a bit overdone

Yeah 2&3 were fine. 4 just needed a batch of contrast and a slight crop me thinks.

#2 & #3, for sure. I think the issue with #4 is that the shutter speed is too quick, and the wheels have no blur, thus making it seem stationary.

The car is almost stationary at this point in the track just before the turnaround, this type of pic should be taken just after the finish line, just as the shutes have blossomed, the tyres still standing tall and hopfully some distortion in the body panels.

I think they are all good but I would try to do something different, have seen the same shots of cars for years there has to be something different. I'm trying different but its not easy but I think we should all try to be original, don't ask me how cos if I new id be published.
If you think I'm out of line thats fine look at some of my posts and give me heaps

Fair point - I just saw the stationary wheels and the chutes out and didn't look much further.
