What do you think? There are some things I noticed when PPing the shots that I possibly could do a bit better next time - positioning the lights so that I got more light on MY face, and an extra hair light wouldn't have gone astray.
The setup: Done in our garage, which serves primarily as our home theatre room so had black velvety curtains all round that came in useful as impromptu background. A bit cramped for space though - there was only 3 metres between the wall directly behind my back and the wall directly behind HER back. Though because of the black velveteen, you couldn't see the shadows.
D300, Nikkor 17-55. One SB-800 low on the left as the key light, shooting through a white brolly and triggered by pocket wizards. Another SB-800 high on the right as light fill, again with the brolly and pocket wizard.
The second was a little tougher as I had to set the timer, then quickly walk over and hope I was roughly in a decent pose.
This was all about the shape of the belly so I didn't worry too much about losing half the photo in shadow.
