Some shots of Amanda's last pass of the 2008 series!

All were shot with the D200, Sigma 1.4 teleconverter, Sigma 120-300f2.8 lens (thanks Simon, gasgasgas). First one at ISO 200, the others at ISO 320, first at 1/1000th and the others at 1/800th, all at 420mm.

I love the thermal effects in #3 and #4 (especially #4)!

Probably wouldn't hurt to spell her name correctly, though

Cheers

Where the *beep* did that 'h' go, I am sure I typed it!!!

Thanks digitor!

Yeah the amount of heat that comes off of these cars is amazing, the feeling as they thunder past is just awesome!

Great series of pics.

We all know how quickly the shutter continuously fires @ 1/800s, so the last 3 frames give an idea of how fast these things are moving towards you..:!: Moo running an .89 @ 290+ is pretty awesome..

And glad you got the name right. It's mind-blowing how many people misspell Shepherd!!

They don't get much better than that! Sharp as a tack and knockout colours!

Thanks all.

Fred, would love to see some of your high ISO pics if you are going to post some up. The Sigma really impressed me over the weekend, even with the 1.4TC on it too.

A bit on at the moment Brett but, I'll have a look over the weekend,

I agree, I don't have a 1.4 but it is next on my list.

Now that would be a great compliment to the 400! Not a worry, glad you made it back safely!

Darren Di Filippo, ISO 3200, pleased with the D300, may not go to A1 real well but fine for magazine publication.

That is really really good! Did I mention good? And I think if you end up running it through a noise filter it should enlarge fine!

Now I wish I had of swapped my D200 for your D300 when you left it down the deep end and went in search of Mr. Badger!

That has definitely made up my mind as to the next body purchase for me, the D200 is great in the day time, but really fails at night time when it needs to be pushed.

D300 + 3200 = Wow. Magic shot. Who needs a crappy flash, ay?

I was wondering as it looks clean as Fred! I still think that will blow up pretty well though. But agree all you need it for is a magazine :)
