Re: High CountryNice images, but I feel they look a bit washed out. Try adjusting the brightness down a little bit or play with a contrast curve and they will look so much better. I assume they are HDR images?
The hut is cool. Steve.

Re: High Countryi love the photo of the hut! the misty trees in the background are awesome.
very nice indeed! just a suggestion though, a bit more contrast and saturation maybe? bring a bit of mood into the photo. Canon 400D | Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS | 50mm f1.8 | 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 | Sigma EF-530 DG SUPER ETTL-II

Re: High CountryGreat stuff.. They look washed out as the others are suggesting...make sure they are in sRGB. the hut would benefit from HDR if you can bring out some detail in the sky but all the same great shot!
Re: High CountrySingle shots hand held not HDR.
I was trying to give them a bit of a painted feel. Thanks for the CC.
Re: High CountryI like them. You certainly gave them a painted look, especially the last one.

Re: High CountryI was staring at that hut for a full minute thinking 'I swear that's the Old Geehi Hut' before I noticed that it was written right there! I go there as part of our annual fishing trip each year and it's an amazing spot, just don't tell anyone where it is!
![]() Oh, and I like the shots as well!
Re: High Countryi like the last one the best, n as u said, soft and painterly ...
Re: High CountryHey Richard I hate to ask but where was the last shot taken; rugged country.
cheers, Jack Cheers,
Jack
Re: High CountryRichard
I have been looking at number four. I note some of the other comments about sharpening and highlighting more detail. I feel you may loose the mood of the scene. Sometimes I fear we loose perspective by seeking ultra sharp images. Soft can be very effective. Philip
Re: High CountryRichard all of them look really good, well done !
Re: High CountryIn my opinion not everything has to look like it's been through the plastic fantastic photoshop machine
![]() The hut I find the roof a little distracting. D70, Sigma 10-20mm, 28-70 F2.8 EX, 70-200mm F2.8 EX, Nikon 50mm AFD, http://lukeo.fotopic.net/
