Hi Dave

Pretty good for a new DSLR user.
I like the first shot the best.

Did you use an ND filter for the water shots? if so was is 4x or 8X ND?

Dave,
Good shots, my picks are one and two, though they could both do with a bit more contrast- just like the water in 3. I find 3 and 4 a little busy.

A ND filter is a neutral density filter which is basically just a dark grey filter which reduces the amount of light and therefore allows longer shutter speed- commonly used to blur moving water, they bring down shutter speed while maintaining the same aperture. They come in differing strengths.

Hi Dave,
1 & 3 for me Dave, New user! -- Great work. Don't you just love these things.
I've got heaps of shots I'm not completely happy with, but never thought of reviewing them monotone as an alternative. Great idea --thanks.
