This is a shot i did a few years ago from Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance. Just wondering what else i can do to make it better. I think the actual building may be a little over done, but other than that what else?
Thanks!

I'm guessing this was either evening or pre dawn. To get the balance between the main subject and the surrounds I'd look to shoot where there is a little more ambient light around so the difference between the building and the forecourt is not as great. That should allow you to bring back the exposure on the building without plunging everything else into blackness. Not much more mind you.
Aside from that, it feels like there is a left to right slope that I find a tad unnerving, but a couple of the horizon lines I just checked do appear to be straight. I'm not sure if it is crooked or if there is just a slope in the foreground.

Perhaps just before dawn and do a HDR on it. I like the feel you have with that, I'd like to see the wording in the foreground emphasized a bit more though, more so on the edges.
