Macro Tubes - MK3

For those that have been watching me learn to use these macro tubes and have opened this message with just a little trepadation - fear not!! I reckopn I've got this nailed
Originally I was heading to catch a bunch of mates at soccer practice in the morning fog when I happened to pass by a barbed wire fence, resplendent in the morning light. First couple were like this - nothing special really, handheld and a little soft:




Then I happened to notice the drop on the bottom of the barb . Got the tripod out of the car as handheld wasn't doing me any favours, stuck the macro tubes on, fired away and here is the result;



OK granted I've PP'd it slightly (desat background etc) but I reckon I've learnt how to use these bloody tubes AS always CC welcome.

Oh and I never made it to soccer

Wheels the practice is paying off. Quite good considering hand held. Yet to get a macro lens but it seems to open up a whole new angle to photography.

Thanks Jase. Either get a macro lens or just a set of tubes. Obviously the tubes cost less than the lens so they make a good start. On the plus side, once you do get the lens you can still stack the tubes behind it and get even closer.

Always better to use tubes with the tripod.
