Hi, haven't been around in a while.

At the start of July, we took a group of teenagers from my church up to Coonabarabran to experience a bit of country life and to help out with some youth work stuff going on there. It was a great week, I got to take lots of photos and I made a CD of all my pictures for the people who went. Here's some shots for c&c: is the black and white conversion too harsh? I was aiming for something that would evoke good memories, kind of sentimental-ish.

Matty, like them a lot. Love 1 but would have preferred it taken one step back to get the whole tree and hayseed 4 is great, would be even better without the car in the background. I understand photography was not the focus of your trip.

Especially on #1. Still a good photo with a nice mono conversion just missing the very top of the tree.

I think you could clone out the very top part of the tree so that it looked like the whole tree was in the shot, it is an execellent photo. I like
number 2 also.

the last three were taken on the back of a moving tractor. hay rides are surprisingly fun!

I agree with the tree not quite all being there. I'm learning the hard way that it's probably better to shoot wider than what you'd like and crop down later on. Thanks for the input!

thanks! I think it's one of my favourites as well - can't remember if they were singing or laughing though.
