After last summer's fire
Posted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 10:56 amI found myself on the edge of a burnt out area at Mt Lofty (near Adelaide) yesterday.
One thing I learned: Getting reasonable exposures of dark subjects even in muted overcast daylight is quite a challenge. Excluding the sky helps, but the metering system tries to render black to grey. I set manual mode for a few of them.
The area has been thoroughly burnt out.
And just to alleviate the bleakness. There are some excellent wattles on show a few metres down the track.
