New Zealand Wedding...

As some of you know, due to a post on here I landed myself a recent wedding over at Lake Wanaka (NZ) for Glen & Leila! This was my first destination wedding (wedding overseas) and also my first Wednesday wedding. I had too much fun hanging with the bridal party, seeing a bit of New Zealand and their wedding day was beautiful! We had some scary looking weather the day before, also due for their wedding day but the weather cleared and we got some great shots!

It was the most colourful wedding Ive been too! Leila wanted to have colour everywhere which I LOVED!

I flew out Sunday for an afternoon in Christchurch before flying down to Wanaka on Monday for the Wednesday wedding. I flew back Thursday and had a Friday + Saturday wedding (which was my twin sisters!) I only wish I had more time to see more of NZ... next time :)

Anyway Ive finally blogged a few photos from their...

starring Kalindriel + Mr Darcy...

Outstanding shots! I love the third - Did you change the colour in the top half and pain with light the rest? Great colour combination and composition..

# 2 is lovely! It looks like one of those shots that would look STUNNING in a big big print and hung in the lounge room :D

#3 was pretty much what the light was doing so I moved them into it! I burned in the shadows a bit to accentuate the light.

Thankyou all for your kind comments :)

I finally have some more photos I can put up in my office / meeting clients room at home - its a bit bare since I moved into it!

This part of it does :)

Outstanding shots!

#3 is my favourite of the ones I have seen so far too. Though others have commented that it seems a bit anonymous.
I wasn't there for this shot. I was quite sure Jonathon didn't want a wannabee amateur hanging around stealing his techniques, but I suspect this was just how it worked out. The light was very changeable, but fantastic. And yes, NZ could give Ireland a scare stealing its title of "Emerald Isle"

I just adjusted the whitebalance and basically ran it through an action (which saves me time = makes me $$)

Oh dear ... did somebody mention something about money???? :)

gstark wrote:the business of photography

And not to be forgotten, I also believe I said something about "Posing, composition, use of light" as well as "somebody with whom I have a connection". I think within the context of this wedding, all three of these statements hold true, and thus we have a very satisfactory result.

Does anything else matter in this instance? Respectfully, I would suggest not.

Such a commentary would have been off topic in this thread. If you care to resurrect the other thread, we can discuss reasons as to why Jonathan was a much better choice for you than the other mob, as well as whether his work is artistic. :)
