G'day

I've always considered that the Nikkor 18-200mm lens is a useful general purpose lens to have on the camera when you don't know what it is you want to shoot but you want to cater for as many possibilities as you can.

Yesterday I was heading home on the train after a tough day out and sitting opposite me was a Zombie.

Interesting images - well captured.

Did you happen to have a wooden stake with you?

How did you know? :)

I think you've hit a bit too hard with the flash on these. In the third, I can see tinges of green in her face makeup, which is what I expect she had on, but the first two images her face seems slightly washed out, and the green is having trouble coming through.

I picked one of these lenses up last week in NY from B&H for the same reason, most bizzare shopping experience I have ever had! That store is a tourist attraction in their own right! The lens seems to be the perfect replacement to my 18-70 and 70-300ED lenses, and the VR works really well.

I bought the 18 - 200 a couple of months back; it's a great, versatile and sharp lens. The VR works very well, particularly useful for hand-held, low light shots.

I agree with the harsh flash comment but these have great potential to be edited more with the "pain with light" technique...

I must say I would be a tad concerned with someone like that riding on the train, I know my 3YO would freak out and probably give her nightmares.
Interesting pictures to BTW.

Teehee. Wooden stakes only work on vampires :D

I think zombies need get beheaded, a headshot, or set on fire.

*Is a bit embarassed about her love of Buffy/Angel*

Back on topic... HAHA i can't believe you whipped out your camera and took a picture! Ha! I would have just stared! The zombie was champ though, actually posing!
