Leaf tailed geckos to be more precise

They're not dragons! They are geckos. Different families, as I'm sure you know.

Nice detail on both images. Your leaf -tailed gecko (P. cornutus, I assume) has quite a different pattern to the ones around here (P. platurus).

, but he reminds me so much of a lovely 'fire breathing' dragon (which is the kind of dragon I was referring to :oops:

And of course the taxonomists have been at work again (so annoying

), and it is now called Saltuarius swaini - cornutus (now also Saltuarius) is found way up north between Cooktown and the southern end of the Paluma Range (I had previously stuffed up and also called it cornutus, Damo promptly smacked me

)

Very nice animals, we dont have this tropical species in SA...for obvious reasons... :lol:

Are they mites under the eyes in the first pic?
