Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I just had a week at caloundra on the sunshine coast so popped down to do a little walk around Oreilly's in Springbrook NP. Nice trip down to elabana falls and the toolona creek circuit. What do you think of the mossy branch foreground- my wife thought it must have been unavoidable and laughed when i said i had to wade in to get it in the foreground! click for larger with 100mm macro at 2.8- i like the shallow DOF any feedback welcome

Robert, great part of the world you managed to get to. #1 - I do like the branch in the shot but I find you still have to much empty space in front of it. For me, I would crop it just below the branch. #2, really like this one, well done. #3 - sorry, doesn't do anything for me #4 - I also like but I find it tilts CCW. It may be an illusion but that the way I see it Did you have a polariser for these? When I do waterfalls with wet rocks, I find that a polariser gives me a different result. Great dedication to wade in for the shot Cheers, André

Number one is a cracker shot The branch makes the shot, it is the first thing I noticed and is the sharpest detail of the photograph. Love the way the light (waterfall reflection) plays across the still pool Waz
