Hi,
while I have done a lot with insects, animals, plants and sport this is attempt 1 at something resembling a poitrait (my stepdaughter). The aim was to produce something personal, feminine, and fun.
While I know a large light and softbox will help I would appreciate C&C that will be easily achievable in the next couple of weeks (before they turn into baby photos) . Only PS was the twinkle on the ring and smoothing of streatch marks.

Deb, I am not sure whether you need anymore lights.

These show great control of light with the equipment you have!

First and the last are the standouts IMHO. Great creativity.

Great photos Deb, I am sure they will be treasured.

I know I tend to the inappropriate (in modern parlance), but I wonder
who the blue guy on the last shot is referring to. The father perhaps??

Surenj , think they could be done better - probably need to light the background better, the white balance is a bit off and there are still shadows under the chin - also not sure if the angle of the shots is the best way to go ... but I am encouraged to try this type of thing a bit more
Greg, the blue guy is Grover from Sesame St - I tried to find a blue teddy but couldn't , did a few cuddling the 'teddy shots' in different poses, all of which are quite cute ...but for some reason when he sat up his arms fell open and the first thing that came to mind was ... "and it was this big"
..added some hours later ...OH now I understand what you were saying Ha Ha silly me - much funnier than the truth behind the comment (yes natural blonde I'm afraid)

Also had fun with the ducks in the bubble bath with just the belly above the bubbles but a bit too personal to post and the lighting is great in the bathroom thanks to the skylight .
I want to do a couple with Mum & Dad cuddling the belly and the traditional hands so it's a 'family ' shot , and the ducks in the bubble bath - hopefully that will give them a few nice reminders of the time - so if anyone has any suggestions let me know
