Two pics i took at the monarto zoo today

this is my first post of pictures

1st one is taken with kit lens

2nd one 70-200vr

First one seemed very contrasty, the face is sorta blown. The second is much better IMO. A cute pose too.

I prefer the first one, but in both cases, you've amputated bits of the anumal.

It's a common error for younger players - failing to examine the whole viewfinder to ensure that they have the complete image that they want, and it often leads to things like amputated feet, or trees growing out of the heads of a bride, or a stranger walking through the otherwise barren and uninhabited background ....

All it takes in an extra half second with the camera uo to your eye to scan the image area, and perhaps adjust the camera down a little, or pull the zoom back a few mm.

Nice pix,s but with a bit of a crop they can be improved. Make the face the focus of your image by cropping out a lot of the background. Pix 2 you could crop just to a face as there is a lot of expression there.

Aren't Meerkats just the coolest subjects? They are full of expression and you can catch them in really interesting poses... Cute lil tackers... Love the expression in pic #2
