It took me TWO shots !
Sigma 70-300 APO II macro, 1/500 sec, flash, manual focussing on the area where the drops would manifest and handheld.
I opened the tap just a very little bit and adjusted the flow until I saw single drops falling.
It was pure luck that the second shot had the perfect timing.
