I really like the last one, with the cobwebs. It adds something else to the weird walls. :)

CD - #3 is wonderful it reminds me of the movie Metropolis for some reason. All very good abstracts.

Christiand,

Great shots! (especially #4)

I take it that they're of the poly-tank like (ATASIS sp?) building that looks as if it came out of a Bushman / Clark Plastic tank factory?

The electric blue look with that surface is really eye catching :)

Taken with the 18-70 or the 70-200 VR?

Very interesting shots, CD.

My faves are nos 1 and 3, with no 3 winning by a nose.

It's funny how tastes differ, because I'm not so keen on nos 2 and 4, for pretty much the same reason that Killa likes no 4 - for me, the cobwebs are so obviously cobwebs, that I don't get that "what is this fascinating texture" feeling, but rather a "this is an interesting cobweb" type feeling (which is not bad in itself, just not quite the "abstract" reaction I suspect you were hoping to evoke). It could also be that I like no 3 because of the very strong lines that draw me right into the shot, whereas those in no 4 start quite close to the edge and take me out of the shot.

...having said this, they're all great shots, and much better than I could do!

Christian

Definitely #3 is the best for me. Fantastic leading lines and the B & W enchances the shot tremedously. Beautiful use of the light too. I also liked the second one, but have to say the cobwebs are a little distracting.
