Wow, love the shot of the anenomea (how the heck to do I spell that? Greg?). Try adding a little extra saturation or playing with curves & levels to make it really pop... I'd also try cloning out the faint images in the black areas to lessen the distraction from the main "thingy".
The hand-held water shot is impressive, if I tried a hand-held water shot with my shaky hands you couldn't make out what it was!

The ND filter is good for making the blurred, soft water effect by extending the exposure time but you'd need to use a tripod or rest the camera on something steady...
