Moroccan in Blue

Another from Moroccan Trip, same place, Chefchouen, which is famous with travellers for it's array of blue painted doorways and entrances. The blue colour was introduced by Jews, in hiding around 1926. Chefchouen is a very secluded village/town high up in the Rif Mountains. This shot has had some heavy exposure alteration in
PS CS Raw converter but eveything else remains standard. ISO 250 f/7.1 35mm 1/80th
Cheers!!

I think something's amiss with your white balance.
How cool is that! I love the shot and the added history lesson. Thanks for sharing it Matty.

Hey Manta,
you might be onto something there. The white balance was set at Auto and is still intact in this image. Cool blue alright, it was 30 deg. in the light and at least 7 deg. C cooler in the alcove from where i took this shot!
Thanks.

Now I know why Morroco doesn't field a team in the bobsled...

No bobsled team or downhill skiing either. Plenty of snow on the Atlas Mts. to practise on though.
Thanks Christian D , I'm pleased you think you are there when viewing it, I had only 10 sec. or so to take the shot as there was so much foot traffic going past, it seemed rude to block the way for too long.

This shot blows me away. It's just perfect - magic. I love it. Serene, inviting, evocative, mysterious....
Think I'll go take a cold shower
Did I mention I really, really like this?

Let me re-phrase...
ditto to most things people said apart from the cold shower and mic's red bikini comment!!
Although a nice tanned stud with a six pack (not the alcoholic variety) wearing ripped jeans wouldn't go astray
.....I actually prefer my showers hot!

Very nice shot! I love those north African villages with houses in blue and white. And you did a great job regarding exposition + framing.
