I cant take credit for its creation, but it was such a nice one that I had to take a picture.

I really like the play of shadow and light in this one, suits the B&W treatment in my opinion. Well done.

Willy, I too like this shot and your use of b&w.

I notice you have got ev set to underexpose by one third stop. Do you always have it set this way or do you vary it? The reason I ask is that I think when using A or S modes, I am over exposing slightly and I've been considering always underexposing by a third or a half stop, especially when there's a lot of sand, sky, surf or other highlights in the shot. I shoot raw but I figure it's best to try to get correct exposure and wb in camera rather than trying to fix it later.

John - I tend to use the underexposure setting when there is a lot of reflective things and i am trying not to blow the highlights. (Helpful - when i remember) I shoot in raw too, so i can do the same thing in PP, but i guess its good to get it right first time around.

You should have a play around with it :wink:
