Just to show you can take nice (well, I like it) images with Canon gear as well as Nikon.

I too was in central Australia earlier in the month:

EOS 20D, 17-40mm @35mm

I spent several days here - it's a fascinating area!

Of course, criticism is welcomed...

It ain't the gear that makes the pics, IMO.

This is a lovely photo, the lighting makes the colors wonderful, especially the sky.
