				Great!
The one critisism I would make is I find the first one a bit "busy"
I love the unfolding ferns!

Thanks all for comments. I was just using the kit lens, hand held, but wide open as no tripod so being hand held. Seems I tend to like taking close ups a bit, so maybe looking around for a lens suitable for more macro work. Have been impressed with some previous posts using the Sigma 105 macro.
Thanks MHD - I agree that photo1 looks a bit busy - I thought the same at the time of pp, but liked it despite this so pushed on.

i disagree about the first one. It was my favorite. I liked the way the light played around the edges of the flower. The other ones were more 'typical' flower shots.
All very good.

I agree with Ajo. The forst pic as a cacophany of light, colours and shapes that blend well together. It looks like a Christmas tree decoration.
Well done.

I also agree with Jonesy and Killa. No 1 is good.
No-one has mentioned bokeh. Is it bokeh? I thought it was bokeh. If it is bokeh, is it good bokeh?
Have I mentioned bokeh more times in one post than ever before bokeh?

Just to be a bit controversial, I like no. 1 best.
That is some sweeet bokeh.
And I'm selling my kit lens too... bugger.
Cheers

Actually that first flower does look a little busy. Busy having a good time at the Mardi Gras in downtown New Orleans.
