In the back yard tonight. Pity it won't turn around - don't think the pic is as good as it could be if you could see it's eyes!

ahhh... spiders... nice...

i'd say it's a Deinopis... net-casting spider

just a hint... if you have a nice macro setup... try and frame close in to it's eyes... very interesting and you'll see why they are commonly known as ogre-faced Spiders

I love the image. It's got a very surreal feel to it. It reminds me of the type of spider i would meet in one of my nightmares, only much smaller.
