hey everyone, im in the process of selling my trusty bronny ETRS to fund the purchase of a 6*6 frame cam. im lookin at sticking with Bronica because (A) of budgets constraints nd (B) i have loved using my Bronny ETRS. just wondering if anyone has input on other options for 6*6 or thoughts? any feedback appreciated.

Well, it is in the "Film & Non-Digital Imaging" section.

Based on my limited knowledge, your options are:

Hasselblad
Rollei
Bronica SQ

I am sure there are others.

I am not sure if lenses for ETRS would match any other format Bonica body?

im pretty sure the ETRS lenses are a different mount to the sq ones. although i think it will require some further examination. and gstark i WISH i had the money for a digi medium format kit, or even just a digi back. hopefully santa will be good to me this year :D

How much would your F4s have been brand new? What is the value now? Point is, prices come down although you may not afford or want to buy the latest top end stuff, but older gear will become cheaper.

I am hoping that current MF bodies that accept digi backs will accept future digi backs.

To put it another way, my wife's Bronica, if we were to price it new from Tamron's listed prices, would be:

Body: $1,473
Lens: $1,147
Viewfinder (AEIII) $1,508
Film Backs: $543 x 2
Speed Grip: $385
Total: $5,599 (USD)

We paid less than $1,000 for all of it (AUD).

So, chin up, sonny

i think after viewing that link my mind is pretty much made up, here i was going to complain about the price of a 30mm fisheye (approx $1500+). seesh. all that extra cash for bragging rights on the branding? i dont think so. although i have no doubt hassy makes outstanding glass...........thats a bit rich for me

I would still check out Ebay maybe, there were some good prices for 645 Bronicas on there today. Didn't look for any other brands though.
