Unaccustomed to buying new cameras (not) as I am, I have missed one form of photography for a long time now, and that is action/surf photography. I "cut my teeth" on surf shots with my venerable D70. (And yes, it was thanks mainly to this site, D70users, that I became really hooked on all things photographical.) I would spend hours down at my local beach, on the rocks and even in the surf, capturing the waxheads as they do their stuff. That was a decade ago, and I've been itching to do it again. I saw a shiny brand new Canon 7D Mkii on sale yesterday and took the plunge, and voila, it is now sitting beside me in my study, all boxed up with no where to go. I don't have a lens for it just yet, so I will just pretend for the moment. I am looking at the new Canon 100-400 Mkii, which by all accounts is a blisteringly fast, sharp action lens. I just have to find the right price etc, unless of course someone has a nice used 400mm pro lens they want to offload... Keep tuned for further Canon developments... Ozi

Thanks Kirsten. Still keeping some Fuji stuff so don't despair. I'm not jumping ship, just adding to the arsenal...
