First batch of holiday images

I just managed to get Photoshop loaded on my wife's laptop, so here are a few random images from our holiday so far...

The bus top is my fave with a close 2nd or equal being your first image at the Kuala Lumpa Airport!

It's currently sitting at around 29 degrees in Sydney, and it's 9:45pm.

they are stunning shots there. i love the second picture, the colours are a great contrast to the sky. i really like all the shots though. good stuff!

#2 is superb. You have fantastic leading lines with a suitable subject at the end. You've got the colour contrast between the red of the seats and the blue of the sky. Then ther's the avenue of building either side of the bus. A compositional masterpiece to be proud of. It even makes England look sunny. My only real criticism is that next time get the driver to drive down the middle of the street

#1 is very similar stylistically with similar strengths. I particularly like the longer exposure giving a little motion blur for the people on the travelator.

#3 - doesn't grab me greatly. It might have been more interesting with a person walking past or a bike propped up against the wall.

#4 - the B & W really accentuates the starkness of this wintery scene. And dare I say it, nice leading lines again and rule of thirds (almost). Oh and just in case it's not obvious - I like this one too

I hope the three of you have a great traditional Welsh Christmas (whatever that is - but I bet there'll be alcohol and singing!)

#2 Is terrific John1 Vibrant contrasting colours and the composition make this pic. like the airport one too good sense of balance. Have fun, stay safe and merry Xmas

These are lovely, I'd say #3 is the weakest just as Stubbsy suggested it's missing something.. but I still like it as it reminds me of a gingerbread house.
#1 and #2 are great with the lovely lines and shapes.. very nicely composed.
The the final one.. just love it and it seems very 'english' to me.. (haven't been so judging from BBC tv..)

Great series of images, the airport image is fascinating and the shot from the open topped bus really unusual and grabs the viewer.

Craig's right about the Gingerbread house, that's the first thing that came to my mind too

Love the last one, the B&W treatment suits it well...
