P.s. both shots handheld, Sb800 fitted f22 with shutter speed of 500... the spider was also handheld.. not the easiest thing in the world holding a spider up on one stick and holding the camera in the other hand

Hey Tim, nice looking critters u have there, looks like lens is working well for you, i dont have any macro stuff but then not sure if want to get that close to some of them either. Anyhow i like the pics well done mate.

they were both f22... i think it was the angle i was holding the piece of stick that created the shallowness... but it worked out well.. i only got 1 shot off like that before he did a spiderman act and lept off and did a runner

sounds like it was a good idea i insured everything today... lol nah.. it is insured.. but mainly because the gear goes near saltwater enviroments.. better safe then sorry... even insured my tripod and monopod
