Last 3 shots are terrific Peter displaying vivid colour and that 'Pop'. My favourite is the birdbath reflection.
Second last is great but could do with a little more saturation in the sky. The last is beautifully balanced and delightful ![]() cheers marco
lovely place you make me wish i had found that hunter vallery thread sooner and booked a place for that weekend, you consider ever submitting your photos to the hunter vally tourism authority to get postcards made up?
Peter,
Nice to see you've got some photos from the Hunter Gardens! Their entry fees + commercial places seems to work well with their target. Make me thinking about the Japanese Garden in Auburn for a good tour also. Birddog114

Ray, Exactly! If I want to do garden shooting, I'll go to the gardens in Autumm or Spring. Autumm Botanic Garden is a well known place for wedding photographers same as for other photographers, who are seeking their photogenic places for their collection. I'm thinking to have a meet there in the next few months. Birddog114

Great idea ![]()
Great stuff Peter, as Mattk said you keep improving and your shots are improving in composition, presentation and artistic design. Love the last one and the bird bath shot as I can see the time and effort behind making the shot.
Matt - That's high praise indeed coming from you. Now I REALLY have to deliver
Marco - Thanks. The birdbath shot took a lot of work to get the framing and exposure right in that one and it's good it paid off. I have to give Leigh credit for the idea since I saw him take a shot of it. Poon - Thank you. Somewhere for your next visit Wendell - Not sure my pics are good enough for the tourist people, but thanks for the praise. Thanh - Thanks. Auburn gardens would be interesting Nghia - I've never had problems viewing Smugmug pics (even if they go offline there's a message to that effect). Thanks for the comments - they're my 2 faves as well Andrew - Thanks - you'll enjoy the gardens Craig - Thanks, as said above they are my pick of these too. I was also licky with the lens flare from the sun in the last one. That's one thing that never looks the same through the viewfinder Peter

Peter, its not just isolated to your images on smug. I dont exactly know why but some of the images in this section doesnt show anything at all. Not even text or an error msg. Only just noticed that it changes depending on where I browse the forum.
