Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

this is part 1 of my egypt epic
After Paris, i met up with my mum in Egypt who had already been on tour there, i was reluctant to go because i only had eyes for Paris but in the end I was glad i went. Egypt is a land full of quirky contrasts which is something that appeals to me.
Apex meets the sun
they say a perfect pyramid generates an electromagnetic field and that if you place a piece of meat a 1/3rd of the way inside up from the middle bottom of the pyramid that piece of meat will not rot, maybe
I shot this through a taxi window so hence the variation in tone, which i like it looks moody
Apart from the 3 main standing pyramids at Giza there are a few broken ones that are cluttered around the area, I took this shot standing on one from some height from ground level, it looks like a spooky vista from a fantastical sci fi scene
Lots of tourists around even during winter which is the least peak time, so i decided to use them instead of dodge them in my composition, i call this one 'Loner longing and the wired couple'

Mythbusters did some work on the power of the pyramid, and although the results were inconsistent and inconclusive, there was something going on Greg - - - - D200 etc

Very interesting photos. Propably the first one is the best and vineting gives extra finish to it. I agree with Gred that those images, due to style you chose, have a touch of mistery. If you would have extra one or two, propably closer to piramid, to keep story going, that would be nice and unusual series.
Great plus for taking original shots on so photographed subject.
